The Valley Brook Dance Center Project is a voluntary outreach program which operates under the general supervision of the Valley Brook Baptist Church, a loving, accepting, and affirming place of worship.  The VBCDCP is a newly established program that seeks to provide teachings in the art of dance using the same principles of love, acceptance, and affirmation as found within the church.  Teachers and staff of VBCDCP seek to put God first by promoting spirtual health, peace, and sportsmanship; and also encouraging good discipline and education through dance theory.

The Dance Center Project holds weekly classes in ballet, modern, jazz, tap and christian hip hop to those students who express an interest in developing an appreciation for dance, have a desire to learn the fundamentals of dance and dance movement, and also convey a willingness to support the program through volunteerism.  To take part in this unique experience, families should be able to volunteer periodically for activities that promote the goals and directives of VBCDCP.  We also ask that each student be able to commit to regular attendance for lessons and exhibitions.  

Through the Valley Brook Community Dance Center Project, we want to reach across barriers, keep communication open and alive, dance and perform in a way that people can see Jesus Christ in us, and make this a community that we can be proud of.  If you would like to become a sponsor or register for classes please contact the church office Monday - Friday at 292-0212 for more information.

Mission Statement

This program is designed to teach dance (ballet, modern and creative movement) with the highest excellence, artistically, technically, spiritually and morally.  To provide a visual and artistic program that will inspire our youth to become positive and Christ centered individuals.

To present public performances for special audiences, such as nursing homes, hospitals and senior citizen's centers. For the purpose of uplifting, edifying and encouragement.

To be a valued asset to the community and church.  To enable our youth to become leaders in the community and church.  To glorify the Lord while receiving the highest quality dance training.

To allow students to discover and the use of their creative potential through technique, choreography, performance, research and other creative expressions in a Christian environment.
